Virtual Health Hub has joined forces with Saskatchewan Polytechnic
in the development of an innovative new training simulation incorporating remote presence technologies.
By utilizing the audiovisual communication and diagnostic tools of the VHH-provided Teladoc Lite 5 virtual care device, nursing students at the SaskPolyTech Health Sciences Simulation Centre were able to connect remotely with clinicians for assistance and guidance during simulated patient assessments and consultations.
We are pleased to announce that, thanks to overwhelmingly positive student feedback, the pilot project has been a resounding success. It has laid a strong foundation for future collaborations and the broader integration of remote presence technology into healthcare education programs, and for the overall enhancement of patient care.
